Decompression cable DT360 was created by john.lockwood5@bigpond.com
Does anyone know if you can remove the decompression cable from the DT360a by only removing the clutch cover, or are there other parts which need to be removed to get to it behind the kick starter etc., to release the end

I think that if you unhook it from the valve that'll give you cable to play with down the other end.
So then release whatever secures the outer cable to the case like a screw passing through the cable base.
Then lift the outer away so then you have the inner to play with.
The arm the lower nipple sits in will need lifting so if you maybe you can hook some wire down there to lift.
But just studying your pic--which i guess is a random pic--i'm thinking if you move the kick lever down past where it operated the arm then let it slowly back it must move that arm up until it pops past there.
Actually the spring on the valve at the motor must pull it up via the cable ready for the next kick--when connected at the valve.
But ok there's nothing now to pull it up.
So if somehow you stop the kick lever against the arm "not up past it" it could lift that cable piece so you can then remove the inner.
Maybe that cable arm might stay up anyway while you unhook if ya lucky
I know everything--till i'm wrong--& could be wrong again, yet again!!.
