Ignition and Gas Cap keys was created by tgill
Hello!
I just bought a '76 DT 400 with missing keys. Is this a locksmith problem or is there someone on this site that could cut a set for me?
Thank you,

Yes a locksmith can make a key for you with the ignition switch. I think, now don't quote me on this but I think there's numbers on the switch that you can get keys made with that number but I know for sure a locksmith can make you a key if you take them the switch.

Ebay has a few sellers that will make a Yamaha key from the lock number which should be visible on the face of the switch. Cap key should be same normally.
Search "Yamaha key by number" or something like that.

Yes, a good locksmith or master locksmith will have reference books showing how each numbered key was cut and so they can do it remotely and post it to you. Motorbike dealers can arrange this for you, although it costs a little bit more.
