Dt175 B jumps revs from 5500 to 7000 was created by DTTimClark100860

Hi again. ……got the carb fitted and all running well apart from jumping from around 5500 revs to 7000 normally when I’m accelerating from 2nd to 3rd ! Could the jet needle be sticking!

Do you mean spluttering, or could it be the clutch slipping?

Probably more of a surge. Might be clutch….gives me something to explore on my next run …thanks

Have similar problem. Could this be the "advancer" in the flywheel sticking?

If the revs rise with no discernible acceleration, then it's almost certainly the clutch slipping. Was the correct wet clutch gearbox oil used?
