My DT360A is the only bike in my barn that will ONLY cold start if I hold the throttle wide open along with the choke on. Otherwise I can kick with no results at all. Hold the throttle wide open and it will scream to life and all is well after that. Warm starts are normal with no throttle at all.
Should I leave well enough alone since it will cold start on the first kick if you know the rules? I’ve never had it kickback not even once, but I do worry with the wide open throttle scenario.
Suggestions welcomed.

I wonder if the tiny hole in the carb float bowl is blocked?
I'm sure that you know where this is but, just in case, here is a random float bowl as an example - jet is at the bottom of the hole along the bottom edge.

I had just installed a new float valve assembly and a new needle on the slide. So while I was in there I made sure that little passage was clear. Probed it with a guitar string and then blew air thru it. I discovered that the little red plastic tube on the compressed air can slips into that tiny orifice with a nice slug fit. Blew air thru it with no restriction. This particular bike has always had this starting quirk. My other DT360A does not act this way. I may swap the carbs to see if the quirk stays with the carb.
