wiring diagram ignition + lightning coil was created by whitebee
Anyone a wiring diagram or good pictures of the wiring between these 2 coils. The wiring is broken on mine and I can't figure out how it should be connected.
It's a dog's diner at the moment, normally you can figure out by length where they need to go but not in this case.
I think the two coils where connected to each other but I'm not sure this is correct. otherwise the wires are always grounded and no use of the breaker points.
(can't send any photos at this moment)
Thanks, John

Biggest problem with your question is that you know what year and model you are working on, we don't.
Pictures need to be uploaded to a 3rd party site like Imgur or Google photos and then put the link in your post here.
This is a magneto so if you have a breaker points model, the points will always show some continuity to "ground" when open or closed as they connect to the grounded primary coil winding. With a good meter you should see zero ohms with points closed and 1 to 2 ohms with the points open.

Correct, I forgot about that. It is a DT250 1974. I can't measure anything because the not all wires are connected. I am expecting that the brown wire goes to the ignition coil. That's why I was asking If anyone has a diagram or drawing how these wires need to be connected.

I don't think I understand your question. There are Service Manuals with wiring diagrams in the Tech Library here.
Brown is battery voltage after the key switch and runs the battery powered equipment like signals, horn, and brake light (plus taillight on US models, not always the case in other countries). There isn't any brown wire coming from the magneto.
Points wire is black/white and goes from the magneto to the ignition coil under the tank. That one wire is all that's needed to get spark.

Thanks for your reply, I have found the manual and wiring diagram. That's very helpful but I can't seen anything of the wiring on the actual Ignition plate, I mean the wire connections between the coils before the go into the loom to the connector. They had a play with those wires and I don't trust it if it is done in the right way.
I'm too stupid with computers to upload a photo to make it easier.

Welcome if you're new. Only one wire from condenser which incorporates the source coil & points & run it direct to the plug coil if getting it started is you main aim at the moment. I might be wrong as to where they all congregate but either condenser or points then up to plug coil if ya bypassing the loom for now. I'll go read back which i should do before posting but think MarkT possibly said similar or in more depth. All good.
