Bottom end was created by Albycliff

Good morning/afternoon from Australia. I recently purchased a 75 Yamaha dt400. The crankcase has a nasty hole in the bottom. It came with a crankcase marked IR9-00552 from what I gather this is a later single shock dt400( but could be well wrong) but wondering if it the same as the 501 marked case in all aspects other then the markings? Kind regards Alby.

*I've only seen one mention of IR9 being from a later dt400, so not sure if it is. At a glance it looks like.

By memory the clutch actuator changed from underneath to on top on later 400's.

1R9 is a euro spec DT400 monoshock (aka "DT400MX" outside the US)

The clutch actuator RT325 mentioned is a major difference that I agree exists between the earlier twin shock and the later monoshock 250/400's.
