I need to replace the clutch cover on my DT360a.
I have a nos cover, kick start oil seal, gaskets for the cover and the oil pump and gearbox oil.
Is there anything else I need?
Anything I need to be careful about?
Is it easy to remove and refit the oil pump?
This is my first attempt, so any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your model is like other Yamahas, then you shouldn't need to actually remove the oil pump - it should lift off with the cover. However, there might be one or two cover retaining screws under the smaller cover, alongside the oil pump.
Check out the Tech Library to see if there is a service manual for your bike.

There will also be a seal for the oil pump drive shaft that fits on the inside of the case. #4

You may need an impact driver to break loose the side cover screws. If you don’t already own one, then do yourself a favor and pick one up. One of the handiest tools in the box.
Edit:
I am referring to the type you whack with a hammer to break the screws loose.
The reference to impact driver is often mistaken for an impact gun.
The hammer type impact driver is much more affordable.

Good advice.
Also, if screws are still fitted (as opposed to allen bolts), make sure that you use a JIS screwdriver, not Phillips.

The main thing that could potentially cause you a problem is:
Aligning the end of the oil pump drive shaft with the slot in the crankshaft when reinstalling the cover.

Just my opinion but I only use an impact driver when necessary. I generally use Tbar with a new sharp correct size inpact tip in the Tbar. Give it tap to seat it then twist. I might tighten them up the same way or just with a new #3 screwdriver but I don't impact to tighten. I guess some use an air or battery impact gun though, but everyone to there own. I also grease the new cover gasket because with my luck I'd need to remove the cover again before long haha. Important too what DEET said re aligning the pump drive shaft flats with the crank slot.

I think the "impact driver" being referred to is the good old fashioned hammer-driven kind that came with JIS bits.
"Vessel" was the brand (made in Japan) that came in the little tin box with bits here in the USA... a lifesaver for removing crosshead screws that seemed to strip out so easily if you tried to use the "Phillips" drivers we had in the USA.
You can still buy Vessel drivers new and the vintage kits in the tin boxes can often be found on ebay fairly cheap.
