I'm looking to get my DT250B running that I've owned for 15 years without messing with it.  100% complete bike except the carb.

What is a good source for quality fork seals?

Has anyone ever tried a 78 DT400 34mm carb on this bike.  Someone had put a 76 YZ125 carb (30 or 32) on there before I bought it and just left the oil pump hose hanging.  I have a few of the DT400 carbs laying around and instead of hunting down a stock 498 carb I'd like to see if I can get one of those to work.

Anyone know of a better source than Hot Foot Moto for intake manifolds?  The ones I've bought in the past has been a bit shady on quality. I bought a repro air boot this morning and will need a manifold.  Both are wasted.

I'm going to do a leak down test and see where I'm at with the motor before I start tearing it down.. More to come.

What is the latest effective way to remove rust from inside a fuel tank?

Where are you located? I have 2 good used origin carbs for the 250B from 1975.
I´m living in Germany.

Thanks, you know I hate replacing fork seals only to have them in bad again in a fairly short time. Not all seals are created equal.

Utah USA is my location. I will keep what you have in mind. I do want to explore that larger carb idea but I'll certainly need to re jet a 34. May be in the ballpark. I may put a down pipe on it and explore reworking the airbox for more air flow. Maybe a YZ250C top end with that down pipe. All that would be a project looking for over 30 horse. A flat track motor if you will.
