Is anybody here who has a official data sheet for a Yamaha DT 360 A build 1974? In Germany we need this data sheet to make the bike street legal. Yamaha Germany said they have no sheets for US-bikes :(
Thx
Gerry

What data does it need to contain to satisfy the authorities?

Some specification sheets are in the Tech Library manuals and I may have a "service bulletin" specification sheet...  Yamaha didn't publish many (or any?) documents with PS (horsepower) here in the US during that timeframe.  So it would be helpful to know what type of data you need.

Mark is trying to point you in the right direction.

Do pages 8 and 9 here work? www.yamaha-enduros.com/index.php/service...ctory-service-manual

I‘m waiting for information from German TÜV now. Maybe they have a datasheet. If yes, it will cost 153 € and will be accepted by German authority to legalize the bike in Germany :(

I am from Finland and I have a -74 DT360A, which was registered for street use in 2007. It's the only sample that was imported new by the then Finnish Yamaha importer Arwidson. No more were imported because the motorcycle tax increased enormously. Furthermore, since the DT360 is 351 cc and the tax bracket was 350 cc, the DT360 would have been taxed at 500 cc.
Finland has now subsequently had the opportunity to street legalize old vehicles that have been raced. I found a newspaper article with a picture of the bike being ridden by the original owner on a grass track. This was crucial for registration.
Case in point. I have subsequently understood that in the European Union it is possible to register a similar vehicle if it is street legal in another EU country. This is the strong impression I have, but no further information on the matter..
If you think I can be of any help on this, please contact me by private message.

Mun,  I have seen online scans of advertisements for the 1974 DT360A in French and German if you find out that model availability in other EU countries will help with your registration attempts?

I received a datasheet from German TÜV with all necessary information to legalize my DT 360 for Germany. This sheet contains also the FIN and is only for my bike. I don‘t understand this kind of law…. Without this paper nowadays no chance to legalize a bike. In earlier times there has been the possibility to use papers from an identical bike to legalize the bike. This is not longer possible.
