Help in Baltimore area? was created by D-Hoggs
Hey all, I have a '74 DT360 I picked up about 6 years ago. I've ridden it a good amount and it's in good shape but needs to be gone through. I've rebuilt the carb but thats the extent of what I've been able to do, mostly due to time. I've been looking for someone around the Baltimore area that works on old enduros but have had no luck. Anyone know of someone around the Baltimore area...Maryland, Virginia, PA?I would also like to be able to do the work myself if I can find time but have no idea where to start. Anyplace I can find a kind of walk through on where to begin? I know thats a broad question. I have some video of it running but looks like I can't post those here. Thanks for any ideas!

Welcome to the forum! What specifically requires service? Transmission, clutch, electrics? Lots of good people here who can provide guidance.

You can upload your videos on YouTube and then attach the link to your post.
If your bike runs right now, you can easily take this on yourself just one step at a time. Especially if it runs AND rides. I have two of them. One was rough and didn’t run. The other was incredibly clean and only needed minor work to get it running. And I am not an expert by any means.

I'll see about getting the vids up. It does run and ride. Not exactly sure what it needs, I am hoping just tune up, gaskets, fluids. Just think it could run smoother and cleaner. I do know it needs shocks, or the shocks rebuilt, I found a good thread here on that, and I know it could use the brakes done. Thank you guys.

And it sounds good to me.

I agree with Schu!

Looks like it's blowing around the exhaust, but you've already mentioned gaskets. However, no real need to replace anything other than (maybe) the exhaust, unless you take the head and cylinder off, or if there's an oil leak somewhere. Me?, I'd leave these well alone!
