DT175 gear change shaft boss in crankcases?

I like that "fix"...  gives shifter a lot more support.  (Pretty sure you asked this exact question just a couple weeks ago? )

The XS650 had same problem, steel shaft wearing out the aluminum to an egg shape and oil leaks

There's so much info on this site it can be confusing...  gets even more confusing when multiple threads are started on the exact same topic.  Responses can get all mixed up and it really gets confusing. 

Anyway, you pretty much have the tool. Simply find a milling bit to bore the case hole oversize and bush your adapter to fit the shank.
