has anyone got pictures of a fabricated airbox? i am eliminating my stock airbox and using a VM34 mikuni and uni filter need to make a airbox to keep filter from getting wet.

 

 

 

 

This is my rough draft of an airbox. Started by folding and rolling up a sheet of steel into the basic shape that would slide in between the frame rails and oil tank. Added a divider with a flange for the filter to mount onto inside the box, and also one for the carb boot to clamp onto on the outside. 

Next step would be a lid on the outside to fully protect the filter, though as is its already a lot better than just sticking the filter on the carb.
