1975 DT175B carb throttle cable position for exhaust cutout was created by jeffjeffjeff

Ok. I know this is kind of a weird picky one but don't you think Yamaha would have designed this so the throttle cable aligns with the cutout in the exhaust? Or did they and something is wrong here.See picture.

my '78 DT400E is like that...I have to take the pipe off to get the top off carb if you can believe that!

Thanks. That's all I needed to hear. I should have been there when they designed it. I never would have let them do that. You can loosen the screws and twist the carb to the side to get the top off. But it's still soooo wrong that it's like this. :-)
