Rack and exhaust fitting on a 1975 DT175 was created by jeffjeffjeff
I can't figure out how the exhaust bracket and rack are supposed to fit for this model and I can't find diagrams on Partzilla.
1. I can't see any way the bracket would fit without cutting down the mounting stud on the rack to make room. Photo below.
2. It appears that this bracket requires some kind of bushing - Yet Partzilla doesn't indicate one. Photo below.
Does anyone know the proper way this is supposed to fit together with pictures hopefully?
Thanks.

Have you thought about removing the spacer that's between rack and fender? Looks like the exhaust bracket has it's own spacer.

I can't tell enough from the zoomed in picture of rack and no view of the silencer....
I don't think I've ever had a correct rack for a 74-75 DT175

Mine looking forward from the back left to right is: Bolt head - luggage rack - exhaust bracket - thick rubber bushing - frame tab - fender rubber bushing - rear fender.
I took a picture but I guess I still can't post it.

Jeff,
In answer to your PM question, see pictures in post number 12 here:

In post number 12 you can see the uneven hollow posts on the DT175 rack.

Thanks everyone for the help. Got it. It's just the rack and then the bracket that just bolts directly against the frame with no bushing. Just kind of a weird design.
