Pump is positive displacement gizmo with output that varies based on speed and throttle position.  Flow typically specified in terms of a few (e.g. 5) cc's at 200 strokes with throttle wide open, so not enough flow or restriction to generate any measurable pressure, which is probably why every spec that I have seen lists cc's of output and not pressure

Kawasaki and Suzuki install their check valves at the end of the oil line , so the blow off pressure can be checked .
Yamaha have their check valve at the pump outlet , so it can't be tested the same way .

Thanx guys. I am testing one right now and get about 1 psi. I think this is fine to prevent hydraulic lock-up.
Still have to test G force influence on the ball/spring operation.

If it seals and stays sealing, all good I would think at this point.

BTW the pump is not positive displacement at low flows and RPM's due to leakage.
