DT100 signal mounts was created by Drew-NY

There's a guy in Jakarta, Indonesia that has a few of these DT100 turn signal brackets. The part number is 1X0-83368-00.  I looked it up in the Yamaha parts system and it says not found.  It must be an asian-spec part that wasn't for the US market.  It looks similar to the 1974 - 1976 version?  Maybe someone else could confirm what they are?  Compared to the Yamaha parts label, they look kinda small. With these things being so rare, would anyone want a few of these to see if they could be adapted to a US-spec bike?  They're approximately USD$9.60 each plus shipping.

1X0 was a circa 1977 DT100 for the "other" market, which would likely include Indonesia.

I had some correspondence with a gentleman there a couple of years ago and he said there were a LOT of parts there for the small Yamaha's...  under 150cc.  Going way back to the 60's and 70's.  Problem was that they didn't seem to use the same part numbers and he needed pictures and dimensions to compare parts.  (He wanted to start exporting parts to the US and other countries but the challenge was cross-referencing.)

If they look like 74-76 brackets, they probably are...  have you tried contacting the seller?  I corresponded with a few people in Indonesia that spoke English very well...  or Google Translate does a decent job.  (I always send the message in English along with the translation).  Email worked and WhatsApp was extremely popular there a couple years ago.

I've been corresponding with the seller on What's App. I'm ordering up some parts for my DT175. I thought if there was enough interest I could tack these on to my order. The price is right for something this hard to find. I looked up some Yamaha parts lists but the line drawings are notoriously inaccurate. That being said, they look closer to the '74 - '76 drawings than the '77 up drawings. I was hoping to attract a DT100 owner who might shed some light on these or maybe buy them to see if they could be made to work. You know, tryin' to help out an enduro brother.

It would not be surprising to find 1977 "other parts of the world" parts were the same as earlier model US parts like 74-76.

Yamaha did a lot of "recycling" of parts which makes sense to get the most out of tooling costs.  Some parts from the 1990's US RT two stroke "trail bike" models are identical to the 1970's two strokes...  specifically the RT100 engine is pretty much a 74-on DT100 engine.

In much of the world the smaller bikes are popular...  in the US, it's usually the big bore bikes most people want.  DT100's exist but just aren't as popular here.  Hopefully someone will see your post and respond.

I have a 1975 DT100 and the signal mounts (stays) in your pictures look identical to the ones on my bike except mine are chrome. On eBay if you search for Yamaha DT100 turn signal brackets stays several come up in both black and chrome, as MarkT suggested the small bikes are not as sought after as the 1974-1976 - 250, 360 and 400’s which have similar brackets (stays) but are different and sometimes hard to find and usually sell for much more

Hi Cliff,
No I didn't order any. It sounds like they're supposed to be chrome for the US spec DT100 so not much interest.
