DT400 C Gearing was created by Andy_C

Been doing some shakedown runs on my 400, and I want to check whether it has the stock gearbox and rear wheel sprockets fitted.

Believe that 40t rear is stock, but not been able to identify how many teeth the gearbox sprocket has as stock - can anyone help with this?

It feels quite buzzy on the road and I am sure it would easily take another tooth on the gearbox sprocket.

No plans to ever ride it off road so looking to make it a bit less buzzy on the road.

Thanks.

Front, counter shaft sprocket, should be a 14 according to the service manual.

Parts list on CMSNL also says 14T as standard.

Partzilla shows 13T, but I believe their page has incomplete info.

If sprockets are priced ok just keep going up until you feel its struggling. Pretty torquee motor & not a revver. So find the sweet spot for how you use it. Might help economy to.
