1974 Yamaha DT250A multiple questions was created by Jewelkutter

Hello Everyone,
I have several questions.
I am restoring my 74 DT250A and in the process of installing the new harness purchased from the Enduro Doctor, by the way beautiful harness. I think I'm getting it tucked in the right way , wondering if at the rear of the bike where the harness drops down near the oil tank if it gets tied to the frame with an aluminum black tie? wondering if the large connector cover gets hidden behind the plastic cover below the oil tank?
I would also like to replace both the handlebar control switches the right handlebar control has a single wire brake light switch the replacements I have seen have 2 wires , it's my understanding the original single wire switch grounds through the handlebars , this replacement has 2 wires for the brake light switch Throttle Switch Assembly 1R6-83976-01-00 Yamaha RT180 DT100/125/175/250/360/400 , is one wire is for ground?  Next question is the left hand control wires colors and connectors compatible with the new main wiring harness from the Enduro Doctor ? (The left hand controls part number  HSA-12 558-83972-60-00 498-83972-62-00)
It doesn't have a large connector cover like the original one has . Any advice greatly appreciated and thanks.
John.
