I'll bet before that began sitting in the barn in Alabama for 30 years, it was in a saltwater flood. Hard to imagine that kind of rust developing sitting in a barn.

Well the tank looks decent.  Flywheel  still soaking in Evaporust.  I think the cam surface  is gonna be an issue,  pitting


Tank is probably worth little  less than what I paid for the bike

The tank looks really good on the outside.  Am wondering if there isn't anything you can coat the cam surface with and then sand it down smooth so it doesn't eat up where it contacts the points.

Marine Tex might work well on that pitted cam surface.
