Does anyone know the OD of the slide? I have a box of short and tall slides and might have a tall one in 2.5

Mark, just measure mine with my cheap harborfreight caliper, measured 35.45 mm. If you have one I'd sure be interested in it!

2.5 slide I found is ~35.4 mm diameter by 54 mm tall...  anodized aluminum...  has the two threaded holes down inside to accept cable holder piece that some carbs use...  so not sure it will work on 75-76 DT400.

I don't know for sure how cable attached on 75-76.

That's what I thought...  the keyhole slot.  This slide has the screw-in bracket that holds the cable. 

I'm sure it could be made to work, I just don't know if cable length is significantly different.  Might need to shorten inner throttle cable to slide slightly.
