Rear Sprocket was created by srsnow

I am trying to replace the rear sprocket on my 125, I am using the parts unlimited one, as that was all I could find. I feel like I am missing something since it won't tighten down, it is loose. Has anyone run across this?

Have you fitted the large circlip as well as the bolts?

Is the sprocket loose on the hub, or the hub loose on the wheel?

We love pics. Just gives us a good insight as to what problem you've run up against. Did the old one lift over the big circlid & this one doesn't. Need circlip off as overlaps the sprocket. When bolted up the refit ciclip. Or are you talking something very different. Not new bolts way too long & going right through out the back of the cush drive & pushing on the hub. Na doubt that. 25 circlip holds 24 sprocket carrier on to the wheel.

What about the large circlip? Is it present, or is the groove empty?

The clip is there, looking closer at it it look like the sprocket is tight on the hub but the hub is where the movement is. Is that normal?

Are you talking cush drive movement & wear on the hub plus cush unit--call it sprocket carrier. That's how they go once worn & flop around a bit. Doesn't pay to pack behind the circlip as loads it up with the sprocket moving the sprocket carrier around & just puts unwanted strain & wear on the circlip. Ok, might be ok with one thin washer if you can find one that big but--!! Video of movement would be great if possible sometime.

I just replaced my rear sprocket… I did have to remove a circlip to pull it off… I looked at the Cush/rubbers and they still looked new… so… on with the new one, replace the clip and snug up the bolts and bent the tabs… there is a wee of play…
