DT175B engine mount spacer with o-rings was created by Schu
Is there a way that I can verify if the engine mount spacer with the 2 o-rings is actually fitted on my assembled engine? (Part 31 & 32)
My concern is due to the fact that I have one in my loose parts bin, and I don’t know where it came from. However, my DT175B that I am working on now seems to have had a severe oil leak as you can see in the photo of the engine cradle. I am worried that I may have acquired this roque engine mount spacer in the box of loose parts that came with this DT175B. So again, is there a way I can verify if it is in place or if it is missing on my engine without splitting the cases?

Possibly feel with a bent wire or pick in through the mount hole. If missing there will be a big "step" once you get though mount.
If there, there will be little to no step as ID of spacer bushing is very close to ID of mounts.

Why didn’t I think of that….

Thanks MarkT.
I have a feeling I am going to learn more about splitting cases, because I can think of no other explanation as to why I have this spacer in my bin of loose bits and pieces. The previous owner never mentioned opening up this engine, but that doesn’t mean someone else before him didn’t. I was hoping the oil was coming from a bad seal on the output shaft, but as you can see in this photo, things look as though it could be leaking up higher….

Spacer doesn't seal oil... o-rings are there to keep spacer centered, not to seal.
There were racing versions with solid mounts that didn't need or use the spacer.

Ha. I just don’t stop learning from you guys on this forum. How quickly I assumed the o-rings were for oil seals. Thanks again!
