DT175B…..oh boy… was created by Schu
Well I’m going to give this one a shot. It is by far the worst one I ever took a swing at. I bought it as a parts bike, but decided to give it an off-road refurbishment. I have others that I’ve done in off-road versions. It’s fun and it’s way less money in parts. I scored on a box full of 175B parts a while back from a fellow who had just restored one. It will help me do this one within my $1,000 budget. I payed $250 for the bike. This will be a long journey. I don’t typically do much on the bikes during the riding season. Mostly thru the winter months, but I will get it torn down so I can pick away at the tasks when time allows.

Don't need many wires where I’m going with this.
It may need new tires………

I consider new being no dry rot, and some usable tread.
Previous owner got as far as buying a Chinese carb and petcock, and then he started trouble shooting the wiring harness….

Tomorrow I’ll pull the motor and roll the chassis back into the barn.
I will resurrect this thread in a few months……

I was a car guy before I got infected with Endurid. Luckily it’s a very dependable old girl.

Great looking Malibu like the green interior yea back then you could get some different interiors. I’ve been into Yamaha’s and Mustang’s my whole life my driver is a 69 conv white with blue interior. Cars are harder to work on and more expensive the older I get. We have a great Hobby we are all motor heads Enjoy your rides!!
