Sealed bearings right inner case was created by StiLfun

1973 Yamaha 175. Right inner case. Transmission diagram #31 bearing. New one has rubber seal on both sides. Old one has metal seal on one side. Question is, am I right in removing rubber seal on the transmission side as shown. Thanks for your response
