I fixed a section on my gas tank that was exposed metal around the gas cap up to the radius seam at the triple tree. I used Rustoleum gloss cherry and it was surprisingly close to the original red. If it was a complete paint job it would have been hardly noticeable compared to the oil tank. I eventually put the decals on that are missing in these photos.
