Air pressure test was created by DBrew
Hi. Just been doin some fresh up on the dt 360(well about 3 months now) First leak down test failed miserably.intake, base gasket, wet side seal. Just an observation is the clutch side seal leaked around the Outside. I would have though they would fail around the crankshaft?(or both) anyway my mag side seal ,was replaced 10 yrs ago while doing some ignition work.was badly visually cracked also anyway long story long. It’s Now been holding 6 lbs air couple hrs now. That’s a good day

That's interesting, leaking around the outside. Sounds ready to pop out if not retained by a circlip.

Hi Dbrew - are you saying that the clutch side crankshaft seal was leaking around the outside of the seal (ie, where it fits into the case)?
How did you fix it? Did you just put in a new seal?
If so, did you put grease around the outside of the new seal when you put it in? Cheers….

Cheers. Yeah around outside & not inside I should admit the castle bumps were pointed towards out &funny thing was actual stamped on seal said “crank side” Pointed Out! so obviously installed backwards pretty sure it was genuine yammy seal. But just cleaned up case & I used a little blue loctite last couple times. Thanks

That happened on my 79 DT100. I thought it may have adhered to the crankshaft Long enough to dislodge after sitting for so long and spun out on first restart. I just pressed it back in. Seems ok
