74' DT250A Wiring Harness wanted or... was created by Dirtboy
Hi and hope everyone is doing OK!
My 1974 had many wiring issues causing blown globes etc... turned out to be broken wires within the loom so I made my own.
A year or more later and I'm not happy with the results at all.
So I'm after a new old stock OEM wiring harness if any have one for sale? (shipping to Australia)
or for those knowledgable, I see there are a few DT360A harness's available. My question here is, could I simply mod the dt360a cdi connection, moving the black wire into the white stator connector and pair the black/white wire into that as well?
Thanks!

The 360 harness can be adapted. However, I can't answer your "how to" question, as I took the easy way out and bought one of DEET's plug it and play conversions!
DEET may well make new DT250A harnesses, although they are likely to be to US wiring spec, not Oceania or Euro (differences are probably in ignition switch and lighting areas).

Mark, thanks for pointing out that error in the wiring diagrams. I have one of the service manuals that is incorrect. I have to remind myself that the Yamaha documentation, while the best available, is not perfect.
