you need D/C current output for a light emitting diode bulb. A/C which stands for alternating current will destroy the LED.

I ordered this 5 3/4" H4 headlight from eBay. I wanted an H4 style head light housing so I could swap the bulbs out independently. I plan on running an 12v LED H4 bulb after I upgrade my ignition system. But, I have the option to run a 35/36w 6v H4 bulb also if I wanted etc.

Napa 4020-N fits right in. Im using that on both my 74 and 75 DT250, fits and works great and pricing isnt bad.
