Engine Swap was created by tlh0824

Will a 1976 IT400 engine bolt into a 1975 DT250 frame?

Thank you,
Tom

Yes, you may need to fabricate for things such as a pipe, air filter or or run a sock filter but the engine itself will physically bolt up like it belongs there.

a MX360 pipe will fit more or less and you can run the 36 mm carb the IT400 has. it should be a very strong running bike!
