After some advice please

I have converted my 1975 DT125A to a DT175A.
I have fitted the usual piston, rings,small end etc etc.
My problem stems from the carb,fitted a 160 jet The only other difference is the emulsion tube and needle.
Fitted a new carb service kit but this does not have the emulsion tube.
Not able to find the correct one Yamaha jet needle 5G4-3.
If I use the original Yamaha DT125 will it cause me any fuel flow problems ?
If I raised the needle clip to compensate would this be ok ?
Not ridden the bike yet with the mods.

Your help would be much appreciated

The needle jet is the same on  74/75 125 and 175 .
The needle is available as an OEM part . I looked it up on rocky mountain ATV's  site .
The general consensus here is that carb kits are OK for sourcing float bowl gaskets ,
and float needle valves , but we don't use any of the supplied brass jets and needles ,
as their accuracy is very hit and miss . Many posts on tuning issues after kit installations .
If you've used any of the jets , best to replace them with OEM Yamaha parts , or genuine
Mikuni parts . If you're already buying a needle , I'd just add them to your list .

Thank for the info and I have gone back to the OEM jets,like you said.
They are an inferior product.
