Replacing my front spokes on my 75 dt400. 
why are there 2 different size spokes 
any help would be greatly appreciated

If you look here : www.partzilla.com/catalog/yamaha/motorcy...-wheel-250b-c-400b-c you will see there are 4 different spokes used.  They are parts 3,4,5, and 6 in the diagram.  The two shorter spoke types are on the brake hub side and and each has a different bend at the hub side of the spoke.  The longer ones go on the other side and have a different bends inner and outer.

I re-laced the spokes on the DT400C in my avatar.
