Hi, I have a 1974 DT250. I have a pretty steady leak coming from where the clutch cable actuates a shifter shaft on the underside of the motor. What is the fix for this? Thanks to all in advance.

Hello - just looked at Partzilla and your 250 has same mechanism as my 360.  Seal easy to replace and should help fix so long as the shaft is nice where seal rides and the needle bearing is good.  To minimize  the old guy dribbling oil I found that if you can fiddle with the adjuster to get the shaft in proper position to be pulled per manual while getting lever as flush with case as possible.  I went from a small slick on the ground to maybe a drop or two by doing this, and this was with a new shaft, bearing and seal and after also replacing the washer on the cam detent which is close by and could also be a dribble source.  Good luck with this!

I've a small pan, seems to keep the oil off the concrete!  ... Someday... I'll follow along for now.
