What type of oil?? was created by Old School

I just got this bike ('74DT250) and I removed the clutch (right side) case and it had 2 stroke oil in it. Is that what is supposed to be in there??

No. Just a pinch better than nothing, though, I guess. Drain it, fill it with your final choice*, run it 50 miles or so, drain it, disassemble the clutch to the plates and fibers, clean them all up with your favorite cleaner (I like non-chlorinated brakes parts cleaner, myself; no chance of gassing myself), then reassemble and refill with your choice on final product of a lubricant* approved for wet-clutch motorcycles.
Just what I'd do...

Trans for that model calls for 10w30 oil (make sure it meets JASO spec for wet clutch).  You can download the service manual from the Tech Library.
