1974 DT125A Electric start will not work ,charging system not charging. Here’s a couple new pics  first one is online pic of a 1974 DT125A wiring harness , don’t know if they left exactly as it was ( no fuse holder) second pic is my configuration of same part and my guess as how to wire .

First port of call for those problems is usually the brushes - check that they aren't worn down.

There is likely to be a service manual for your bike in the Tech Library (see top toolbar) and there will be troubleshooting procedures within that.

when i got the bike the leads were not on a battery ........ not sure of positive leads if it has a pigtail that goes other than the starter relay. Regulator is in there somehow ,a picture of back connector from battery would sure help!

Find yer bike in the library... Do study it's wiring... look at yers... study a bit more... There are things that cause issues... It really takes time to sort of stuff... I think you'll become a better person for taking the time to understand what makes it tick...

I really believe I have a wiring issue........ there is a guy here that has exact same bike ........ if he`d send me a pic of the battery lead and how the fuse and voltage regulator are plugged in..... I`m no electrician the wiring Diagram`s clear as MUD. the should show the actual wire harness, instead of roadmaps of color coded wires and symbols

The other thing you could do is take pictures of the wires and components you have questions about on your bike and post them here with the questions. 

Whilst you wait for photos, or if none are forthcoming, what you could do is put your Sherlock Holmes deerstalker on and try a little sleuthing.

The CMSNL website often has photos of parts, as well as the parts lists. For your bike, on the page for electrical items, they have photos of the battery leads and all the parts relevant to your wiring query. 

Have a look at this and check that you have the correct positive battery lead, together with the starter solenoid that I THINK it connects to (I came to this conclusion from looking at the wiring diagram). The other part of the positive lead should connect to one end of the fuse holder, the other end of which should connect to the main harness.

How about just clear up yer schedule... grab the wiring schematic... sit a the table... an ice cold brew, and chase just ONE wire with a pencil... Starting at the generator... one wire at a time... relax... see where it ends up at...  
I just rewired a trail 90... I have about 6 hours just reading the schematic... Then looking at the bike and the schematic... I am grateful to made this time investment...
