Ahh, nice! Nah, the bike is not worthy of that show haha and I don't have the time to make it out there.

I appreciate the love. She's all original or New Old Stock Yamaha parts. Just a few more things to finish her up and she'll be what I consider a 95%'er. New powder on the frame, repaint and decals on the tanks and rechroming of a few of the parts and she'd be a 100% frame off restore. I didn't want to go that far because when they get to museum level restoration I feel like they almost become unridable as you don't want to mess them up. That's what I like about this one, she's really nice but not so nice that you don't want to throw your leg over her and take her out for a spin.

Powder on the frame would not be a "restore" in my opinion.  Too many bikes are "over restored".  Nothing was powder coated and they weren't perfect when new.  I like what you are doing..

And if all the masking isn't carried out properly, then you'll have a load of work trying to get nuts, bolts, races and bushes to fit, together with obtaining good earths (some of us have been there!

Keep us updated if you get PDR. The only time I've checked into that was on a Harley tank and the PDR guy said tank metal is too thick. If yours is successful it'll renew my interest in pursuing a little myself.

Looks amazing.  I have a ‘74 DT250 as well.  I just picked it up last year and have not started on it yet.  I’d to take a similar approach - make it look great, but so good that I’m afraid to ride it.  You did a great job.

Are you in Texas?  I’m in the central Texas area.

The headlight is back in and all of the associated signal and horn wiring has been reconfigured and everything works. I had to order a NOS horn because the original gave up on me, it's not pictured here. It still needs a new battery and some PDR work on the two tanks and a good spit shine and polish and then I think I can call it complete.
