Hi All

Petcock Fuel Cock Assey Valve Confusion
The Yamaha MX250A 1974 Petcock AD Logo Fuel Cock Assey Valve is attached to the bike I bought, as featured in the photos attached. There's no feature of Off / On / Reserve etc. So I ask...
• Is this original?
• Does it have Reserve Fuel function?
• Left is OFF
• What is down? (is it fully on?)
• What is right? (Is it reserve?)

In the photo it is Left/OFF, I assume the long arm lever hanging over is the indicator (Not the sharp point)
Is the long arm lever hanging over, the indicator?

Looks original to me.

The pure race models don't have "reserve", just on-off.  Or if you'd prefer, off-on-off.

AD is an abbreviation for Asahi Denso and they supplied loads of original parts for Yamahas.

I have never raced bikes, but what Mark says makes sense and the single photo of a new part on the CMSNL website shows no sign of having a reserve feed.
