250B Jetting? was created by wkosko

 Hey Everyone,
What’s does everyone run for a main jet outside of stock on the 250s realizing it’s depends on riding style and area? I have my second barn find up and running, a 75 250. Repaired the rusted pin holed tank, Ultrasonic the carb and rebuilt, new points, set the timing, new throttle cable and serviced and set the lube pump back to OE after removing a dang wood screw from the supply hose and completely changed all the oils.  The bike started on the second kick and runs fine although a little fat with some break up through the mid range so I dropped the slide pin from middle clip setting to the last clip setting and that cleaned up the mid range nice. Now I am still fat on WOT. I have a 150 main jet in now but I'm at sea level. What does everyone run for a main jet? Planning on trying a 140 next. I know this thing should be as snappy as my 175. thanks
