34mm Front Forks was created by dalaymond

Did '74-'75 DT/MX/YZ bikes come with 34mm front forks?  Did they have a full 7" of suspension travel?  Thanks.

The DT 250,360 and 400 have 34mm diameter front fork tubes.  The DT100,125 and 175 have 30 mm diameter tubes.  I can't easily measure the front suspension travel accurately, or find it in any specs or the road test I have.

They always quote more travel than you can get in reality.. Probably measure it right to the bottom dry but the last bit gets trapped by oil to stop bottoming fully. Just tie a cable tie around the fork tube & see where it gets pushed up to then measure after doing big jumps.

The MX250, MX360 , SC500 also have the 34mm forks that look identical to the DT forks,
but I think only the MX/SC forks have 7 inch travel { the DT forks are slightly less , I think ?) ,
I seem to remember something is different , but not sure what it is
Hope this helps
