175B Finally done! was created by wkosko

Hey Everyone,   I want to throw out a thanks for all the info from this site. It was a go to for information not availble from the manual. I started on this barn find mid Jan 21. My overall goal was top access the needed parts so I could start the search. After seeing how good the paint was I decided to take her down to bare bones and bring it back while not restoring everything on this 2400 mile 46 year old bike. I actually don't know how to classify it? Not a restoration, but next best thing? I had everything apart due to 20 year old gas that ate the crank seals and covered the stator and flywheel. It was a mess not to metion an autolube pump mixed with H2O and oil with some broken parts. One thing I would like to share since I was looking myself is the silver paint. I did have to repaint the fenders and tail light bracket without repainting the fork ears and headlight bracket since they were in good shape. Here is a picture of the Duplicolor I matched up and clearcoat.

Wow, the restoration turned out great! I am very close to being done with the resoration on my 1974 DT250A and it reuired the fenders and rear bracket to be repainted as well. What are your plans for it now that it's done?
