Bill Bune did my cylinder work. The shipping from Georgia was about 30. The rod kit was around 150

My DT360 has a fresh rebuilt engine and I'm having the same problem as you. It takes forever to return to idle. I thought my problem was with the first carburetor because I mixed aftermarket and OE parts on the rebuild. The second carburetor has only OE parts and does perform better, but still takes a long time to return to idle. I hope you solve your problem and will share your success with me. :)

Often a small air leak somewhere.

I checked the intake side earlier with starter fluid and didn't detect any leaks.  I might try propane next weekend and see if I detect leaks.  I was fortunate to be able to find NOS carburetor and air box joints when I assembled the engine, so hopeful no leaks.

I didn't detect any leaks using propane either.  I was hopeful.
