DT400B (US import) - Handlebars was created by Jammyyammy
Hi all - I've come to replace the handlebars on my DT400B as the chrome is not too good and they are a bit bent. The centre of the bottom bar to the centre of the top bar is 4.5", so I assume that is the 'rise' is 4.5"?
New ones on Yambits have a 3.5" rise. I presume the 4.5" rise is original? Will fitting a 3.5" look ok? Are the Yambits ones any good? Any other bars (UK) better for the money? Thanks......

On my RT2 and DT360A, I found the indicator fitment was a bit tight on the Yambits ones. In the end I bought originals from the US and flogged the Yambits ones on fleabay.
If you're not going to fit indicators, then you're probably fine.

The FLY Aluma-Steel Vintage Handlebars are very close to stock. The hash marks where they mount are different than stock, but the dimensions are quite close. Best reasonably priced option I’ve found.
IF it isn't one thing, it's another.

I have purchased ones i found on ebay and Yambits neither looked correct and have sold both sets. Try and get the originals repaired and re-chromed - thats what i did in the end and much more satisfiying.

that is a much better choice for a restore, though probably more than the $30 charge for the Fly bars.

Hello Hatrick1960.
I have bought loads of stuff from Yambits and find some stuff is good but most doesn't fit or is " one use" quallity.
The handle bars look daft if they're to low.
To explain, recently i looked at a really nice CT 3 that was supposed to be 100% standard and original but it looked odd and like something was missing. I noticed the chrome on the bars and then realised it had non standard lower bars on.
I would do my best to find a good set of standard ones, even if they cost more . They just look tons better.
End of the day though it's your bike and your cash .

I don't have a specific part number, but they are the "alums-Steel 7/8" bars, in Chrome and Vintage Bend.
