so i figured out why my tail light doesn't work, for starters there's no bulb lol and 2nd the ground wire isnt hooked up. i checked the parts diagram which really wasnt much help so what i did instead was i took part number 444-84711-61-00 and checked a few out on ebay and they all have this metal "cover" that the ground wire plugs into. Mine unfortunately does not and from what i see in the diagram its a part that cant be ordered? Was hoping to get some pointers on what to do to get this light working? i got a few pictures that hopefully helps.

You basically just want the black earth wire to connect to the metal case of the light somewhere.

First, I think I would make up a short length of wire with a ring connector on one end - maybe just replace the female spade connector on the wire shown in your photos. Then find a convenient spot to sit the ring connector over one of the light's mounting bolts shown in your photos - as long as it is touching metal somewhere there, you should get the earth you need.

Thats a good idea i was thinking of something like that. I have a parts AT3 125 bike that has a tail light that i plan to check and perhaps swap that piece out.
