I've got to go to bed but I'm trying to find out as much info as possible. For my DT360A carb I found this info on the Internet below, but what is its float valve size? A fellow on ebay asked to find out.

Manufacturers like Yamaha sometimes spec'd parts that don't match the Mikuni model exactly. But you can measure what you have and find the right Mikuni float valve.
Here's a helpful page:
www.nichecycle.com/ncs/categories/carbur...g/needle-valves.html
The first step should always be checking Yamaha
In your case Yamaha appears to show the float needle and seat still available for a good price.

Those are great links. Partzilla has been slow as Christmas at times, but I do try to get Yamaha parts especially after checking Partzilla to make sure of the numbers.

I always use my local bike dealer if I can, although I appreciate that's not possible for everyone. I just 'phone or email my order through and pay when I collect. I suspect that it might be cheaper than going through a company like Partzilla, though I couldn't be sure of that. It's certainly cheaper than going to the wholesaler direct and having it posted from them, and that's allowing for the retailer's margin as well.

Partzilla has been running hot and cold for years and has screwed me over for the last time.
I use RMATV or a local dealer.
