Hello, everyone. Bought my 11 year old this bike, it's the first ive owned. The battery in the bike is an old mystery battery that only seems to get me started after a full night on the trickle charger. After 4 to 5 miles of riding it dies.

From reading here, ive learned that these bikes need a decent battery to spark/run

I see in the manual that it calls for a 12v 7ah battery, will any fleet farm or amazon battery that fits work?

or do they need some other type of battery?

On the 12v 125, you need a real automotive battery. Originals are available or Motobatt should have one.

Did you meter it while running? It’s a good way to see if it’s your charging system or battery.
Never had an at1 so someone might have better model specific advice.
