Just got home as I rode the bike to work. Yes, it’s running like a champ! 40 plus miles on new set up and it hasn’t missed a spark fire once. I’m calling it
good.

I ran many, many miles with the condenser relocated to the ignition coil... did the stator part a little different... nothing wrong with the way it was done here though... never had a problem.

If I had to do it again, I would have done it differently also. I would have run the three wires to be soldered on the stator under the stator plate to get them farther out of the way of the flywheel path.

What I used to do is run lengthen the wire from the stator coil and run it directly to the points. One wire to one wire connection. Then I'd also shorten and connect the wire to the coil to the points.

Points would have the two wires attached to the terminal with ring terminals... Sometimes both wires in one ring terminal... more often I'd use a ring terminal on each wire. Soldered and shrink tube on all connections.

Last time I did this was before digital cameras or the Internet was available... so sorry, no pictures... :)

Hi Midlife. New to site. I had to replace condensor and went like you under the tank. I'm not getting spark! On your pics you sliced into ignition coil and where did the other wire slice into? Is it the black wire from Stator?
Thanks for any help.
