When you're in there, check all the jets for the right sizing and the Mikuni "square in the corner of a square" trademark symbol as a previous owner could have swapped parts.

O-ring seal to the float bowl needs to be snug... you should be able to feel it seal when seating the float bowl.

Darinm told you about the crank seal which is also very likely. With your other running issues... not being able to rev... points to a very rich air/fuel mixture. You can run a ton of oil through these engines and they will rev good and run strong if air/fuel mixture is correct.

And yes, I understand the color of the smoke is blue...

Just to eliminate, did you use the needle in the kit, is so put the old on back in. I’ve never seen the correct one in a kit,
Thanks Mark

I put the stock needle back in and now it runs worse and cant rev as high as before. And i took apart the carb and the oring was there and in great condition as well as sealing it very tightly. at this point im just gonna replace the plugs and see it that makes it better. i probably need to clean the points or get a new coil too because my spark even on new plugs are orange instead of blue.

I've been having a lot of electrical problems lately so i might just take the time to redo all of the electricals. My blinkers dont blink, just turn on. My headlight lowbeam got burnt out, and everytime i put a dashlight in, when i start the bike it blows the bulb up.

Fitting a voltage regulator will stop the bulbs blowing - see link below.

Or a blocked exhaust!!--i'm having a blocked exhaust week lol, without really reading the story, but if restricted it'll smoke more because it's struggling on open throttle then the pipe gets hotter so any residue throughout starts smoldering & away we go--can't rev & all that.

Hmm that's a lot smaller than the original jet. To be running one that small at only 3700' is unusual. Timing may be retarded. Worth checking a least.

I don't think Mikuni makes a "108 jet" so who knows what's in it. Main jet only affect 3/4 to full throttle... hopefully we won't be hearing about it seizing...

I live at 5300', and I'm never below about a 180 main on the 175's I have. MarkT has a good point for you: running that lean may seize your engine or hole your piston. There is probably something else still wrong in the carb for you to find happiness at #108...
