Carburator restoration cleaning was created by EnduroDodd

My 28mm is needing a deep clean before I put the new hardware back in it.
Float bowl is oxidized and rust deposits have me leaning towards an ultrasonic cleaner bath with simple green added. Can anyone speak from experience or suggestions?

Simple green is hard on aluminum... don't leave it in too long.

I’ve had excellent success with ASCO’s recipe as follows:

3 Caps of Pine Sol
3 Tablespoons TSP
Add above to water to fill level
2 - ‘68 DT1
‘70 RT1
‘70 CT1-B
2 - ‘70 HT-1’s
‘12 Triumph Scrambler
