Hi All,
I went to try and start up my bike today and when I turned the fuel petcock “on”, fuel started pouring out of the carb. I think I know the part that is missing, but I don’t know what it is called.
I’ve attached a photo from a carb I found on eBay. Can anyone let me know what this part is called and where I might find one?

That's a vent fitting, plastic, don't know where you could get one. It's not your problem though. Not even a chance it's your problem.
Try tapping on the float bowl a little... float could just be stuck open and often tapping a little will free it up.
Could be the float needle and seat are bad too... or some crud got stuck in the float valve.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I’m going to take the carb apart and go thru it and give it a good cleaning.
That would make sense as to why I’ve been missing this piece for a while and this is the first time I’ve seen this problem.
Is it bad that I don’t have this vent fitting?

Might be a little more likely to suck dirt in the vent hole as the path is shorter...
You might be able to make something

Go to a decent auto parts store, they have a wide selection of plastic vacuum fittings, you can probably find a similar 90* nipple or possibly a straight nipple & glue it in there.

Does anyone know if this will work for his application?

I need one to for a spare DT400C carb, too.
Thanks!

Right idea but oil injection nozzle is too small.
