Here is a photo of the black jumper inside the headlight. - the yellow ring terminal with the black wire. under the bolt.

If it moves and shouldn't , use duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use liquid wrench.

Yes, the wiring diagram would clear things up, but the service bulletin definitely says to tie in to the blue wire before headlight, which makes sense, since we are trying to protect the headlight bulb. also a separate grounding wire to frame if mounting on air box.

Here is the regulator mounted on the back of the headlight with the y connector I added instead of a splice into the ground wire.

Has it been converted to points using the DT250 set up? If yes, then I think that DEET on this forum (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) can supply a plug in and play conversion mini harness (I got one from him for my DT360A).

No it hasn't been converted . It has all original parts on it no headlights or accessories. Just want to know how to wire it without the CDI box?

Either we don't understand what you are asking or you don't understand what you are trying to do.

Might as well ask how to get the engine to run without a spark plug...  or get spark without an ignition coil.  CDI box is a critical part of a CDI ignition system.
