1975 DT125 - Airbox delete. Should I?

Hi all.

As the topic says. If i delete the airbox can i run a foam Uni Filter straight off the carb? I assume i will have to up-jet the carb?
Also what if i ran a bit of radiator hose from back of carb to the Uni filter. Would that be a better idea?

Thanks.

You can and may or may not need to rejet the carb. It helps them breath a bit better and in my opinion, makes pulling the carb off for cleaning much easier, a big bonus in my book as my rubber boot was original and really stiff. I don't think there is any advantage to the radiator hose idea, just one more place for air to leak.
